En 1895, Joshua, con 51 años de edad y apenas 1,5 dolares en el bolsillo, zarpa de Boston y tras varias escalas, completa en aproximadamente 3 años la primera vuelta al mundo a vela en solitario. El “Spray” demuestra sobradamente sus cualidades marineras y de gobierno.
En este libro, Joshua Slocum no relata magistralmente, y con gran sentido del humor, su gran aventura. Un libro muy entretenido que merece un lugar de honor en la estantería de cualquier velero.
