Los primeros se preparan para doblar el mítico Cabo de Hornos en la noche del 23 al 24 de diciembre, una entrega que servirá de regalo de Navidad tras unas semanas difíciles. Sus perseguidores, por su parte, esperan evitar por los pelos una depresión tropical, pero no un mar agitado y picado. Más lejos aún, los demás siguen luchando por cerrar las brechas, que se ensanchan y luego se estrechan a medida que cambian los sistemas meteorológicos.
